The smartest and simplest way to shop as a team. No signups, no passwords, always synced.

1. Getting Started

When you open Kauf! for the first time, you won't see registration screens. We'll create a secure anonymous profile on your device so you can start adding products immediately.

Your first list

The app automatically creates a list called "My List" for you.

No passwords

Your identity is tied to your device. Zero friction!

2. Managing Your Shopping List

Add Products

Tap the large orange (+) button in the bottom right corner.

Type

Start typing (e.g., "Milk..."). Our Smart Autocomplete will remember your brands and frequent products so you type less next time.

Automatic Category

The app will assign an icon and color (e.g., 🥛 Dairy) to organize your list by supermarket aisles.

Photos

Want a specific brand? Tap the camera icon when adding a product to attach a reference photo.

Use the Scanner

Ran out of milk and have the carton handy?

  1. Tap the Barcode icon in the top right corner.
  2. Point the camera at the product code.
  3. Done! It will be added to your list with its correct name and category.

Shopping at the Supermarket

Mark as purchased

Tap the checkbox to the left of the product. It will be crossed out and moved to the bottom of the list with a soft gray color.

Filters

  • All: Complete list.
  • Pending: Only what you need (ideal to stay focused).
  • Purchased: What's already in the cart.

Delete

Swipe any product to the left to permanently delete it.

3. Sharing and Collaborating

Invite someone

  1. Go to the Lists tab (bottom) or Settings.
  2. Enter the list you want to share.
  3. Tap the Share icon or "Manage Members".
  4. Press "Invite Member".
  5. A secure link will be created. Send it via WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram, or Email.

Join a list

  1. When you receive an invitation link, tap it.
  2. The Kauf! app will open automatically.
  3. Confirm you want to join and... Boom! 💥 The list will appear on your phone synced instantly.

You can see your partner checking off items in real-time while you're in another aisle!

4. My Recipes

Save your star dishes so you never forget an ingredient.

  1. 1.Go to the Recipes tab (chef hat icon).
  2. 2.Press + to create a new recipe (e.g., "Sunday Paella").
  3. 3.Add an appetizing photo and list the necessary ingredients.
  4. 4.Add to list: Tap the "Add ingredients to list" button and everything needed will be added to your shopping list in a second.

Choose the style you like best:

Coral (Original)

Energetic and vibrant.

Blue Soft

Calm and professional.

Terracotta

Warm and cozy.

Dark Mode

The app respects your phone's settings, but you can force "Dark Mode" manually if you prefer to shop with a nighttime style.

6. Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work without internet connection?

Yes, absolutely! You can go down to the supermarket basement without coverage. Add and check off products with peace of mind. As soon as your phone regains signal, Kauf! will automatically sync all changes with the rest of the members.

What happens if two people edit at the same time?

Kauf! is very fast (< 3 seconds latency). If a conflict occurs, "last action wins". That is, if you check off "Bread" at 10:00:01 and your partner unchecks it at 10:00:02, it will remain unchecked.

Is it free?

Kauf! is free to download and use. We offer optional Kauf! Premium to support development, but the core experience (no login, collaborative, and fast) is free forever.
